Chief Executive Officer
Joe Collinwood is CEO of CySure and one of its founding members. Joe has an enormous wealth of sales management and business experience in cyber-security and risk management. During his time at Cisco and as a member of the Cisco Global Customer Advisory Board and his work with customers on operational risk management he was made a member of the Cisco Risk Mitigation Committee. Working with some of the largest and most strategic corporate clients Joe began collaborating with CySure’s co-founder, Nick Denning helping customers identify and mitigate the ever increasing risks of cyber attacks.
Chief Technical Officer
Nick Denning is one of CySure’s founding members, and brings an enormous wealth of technical expertise in cyber-security and risk management. Nick is the primary architect behind CySure’s Virtual Information Security Officer. Prior to joining CySure, Nick founded Diegesis in 2007 providing a range of products such as and the development of battlefield integration software for the Ministry of Defense.
Nick’s first foray into cyber-security began following 8 years in the Royal Signals when he joined Logica Space and Defense working on their Computer Security Evaluation Facility. He left Logica to found Strategic Thought Group (STG) providing services to organizations deploying enterprise software solutions. These projects included the design of secure systems for defense and public sector and projects with specific performance, scalability and reliability challenges associated with large enterprise systems. The company developed a specialization in risk management, delivering risk management solutions to blue chip corporations such as Nestle, Tfl, AMEC, RTZ, MOD, BAe Systems and Lockheed Martin who used ARM to manage risk on large projects and programs such as the F35 / Joint Strike Fighter development. After leading STG to a floatation on the London AIM Market and growing the company into a global organization, Nick stepped down from the board in 2007.
He received his M.A. degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University, England.
The IASME Governance standard was developed over several years during a government funded project to create a cyber security standard which would be an affordable and achievable alternative to the international standard, ISO27001.
